"You Never Text Me"

Hey Peeps

You ever just met somebody (girl or guy) and just get a good vibe from them? I mean like after the whole "first time meeting you" boring chit chat part is over of course. After that, when you start to getting deeper into conversation and realize that you actually have a lot in common. That vibe that you get when you realize that you might have actually met someone normal in a sea of really un-normal (some down right creepy) people.

I did. Pretty recently actually and I thought we would actually become something. Not necessarily a relationship something but maybe more of a really good friends something. Which was weird for me because I don't really have a lot of guy friends for whatever reason. Anyways, we had gone out a couple times and really hit it off. Or at least that's what I had thought. And our families had met each other and really seem to hit it off as well.

At this point your probably wondering where I'm going with this, don't worry I'm getting there.
Today, just now in fact; while reading a book a thought came to me "Hey, haven't talked to ****** in awhile. I should text him" . But oddly enough when I opened my text messages I realized why I haven't talked to him in so long. Our last exchange of messages had been:
Him: "Okay ill text you later" June 9th
Me: "Ok Later" June 9th

Re-reading those messages it just occurred to me that this guy literally never texts me, or initiates any kind of communications really. It's just weird to think about how much effort you can be putting into a conversation or better yet the lack there of on the other persons part. Now I'm not saying this to throw shade at anybody or to remark on bad guys are at keeping up a conversation ...okay maybe I am a little bit lol. But in all honestly, I'm just trying to show how easy it is to fall out of contact with people, even people you actually like. Especially when we're relying on the other person to text first. Ah well, such is life I guess.

PEACE.

  1. Yeah, sometimes time can erode relationships. Sometimes people start to forget about their friends when they just don't see each other anymore. But on the other hand, some people are just not texters XD. The important thing, I think, is to remember the good memories you have with them.
By the way, I just checked out your blog from google+, and just realised what an awesome community it is. Anyways, if you want to check out a teenager's blog on musings and life, you can come to my blog www.whimsicalyoungster.blogspot.com :). Cute blog by the way!

    1. Thanks for the comment. Yeah that's so true, I feel like when you don't talk to a person after awhile you just start to drift unnecessarily. But then again maybe it wasn't meant to be in the first place. Anyway, I'll be sure to check out your blog. Thanks again for stopping by and feel free to come again lol :)

  4. I'm going through this right now...it sucks because a few months ago, we talked everyday and then *poof* the flow is gone. It still hurts even though it happened in Sept. He did reach out to me on Wednesday, but it's not the same, ya know?

I found your blog via Twitter and now you have a new follower! :D
